Darrell plays Jonas Portnoy in Silentium Est Aurem. Jonas is a slimy political operative who contracts a hit man to kidnap the daughter of radical presidential candidate in order to drive him out of the race. When things go awry, Jonas has to take measures into his own hands. Shooting started on January 9th and will continue into the Spring. Darrell teams up once again with director William Lilly (Letting Go, 2009) in this political thriller. |
Darrell is cast as Mark in The Bride of Dr. Caligary. Mark is a very confused and disturbed individual who is grieving the loss of his wife. Eventually he discovers that by using the skin of his attractive victims that he may be able to keep his wife’s rotting corpse looking like the bride he remembers. This film will be directed by Travis Mitchell, and will be shot in the Durham, NC area |
Darrell is creating the role of Dr. Helmut Von Hefiweisen in A Few Brains More: Summer of Blood. In this sequel to Fistful of Brains, Darrell portrays a German scientist who creates a synthetic version of Lazarus Water, a potent intoxicant that turns unsuspecting drinkers into zombies. Production began in late August. Directed by Christine Parker (no relation). |
Darrell will recreate the character of Wilburt W. Cole in The Emergence of W. The Emergence of W is the prequel to the 2006 shocker, The Roommate. Darrell’s performance in The Roommate surprised many as he fully embodied the soul and the being of the psychopathic killer, Wilburt W. Cole. Emergence will show a much softer side of Wilburt, and dares to take an intimate look at what drove this mild, loving family man to madness. Currently in pre-production, the production will be directed by Shane Gill (The Roommate, 2006) |
Darrell recently played Adam in Hellphone. Adam is a supporting role in this feature horror film that has just wrapped production in the Greensboro, NC area. Hellphone is directed by Jason Pierce, with Stephen van Vuuren as the director of photograpy. Hang up or die… |
